Our “Free Range” Public Art program has been our most prolific but also our most meaningful.
WHAT IS “FREE RANGE” ART?
Art is chosen from the Youth Art Month exhibition curated by the Quinlan Visual Arts Center and coordinated with students from around Gainesville and Hall County, Georgia. 10 new art pieces are chosen each April. The original works of art are photographed and blown up to 8’x8’ piece of outdoor public art. “Free Range” gets its name from the fact these pieces move around the county and get to be enjoyed in multiple spaces. It’s a play on words as Gainesville also happens to be the Poultry Capital.
Winner of “Free Range” from 2024 block pARTy donation - Betty Norton
Betty Norton donated a small painting to the 2024 block pARTy and the committee members all gravitated towards the bright, happy imagery. The piece was installed on Bradford Street in Gainesville, GA.

Art for YOU. Art for buildings.
Art for people. Art for Greenspace.
